O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying this Court to direct the respondent police to file a Final report in Cr.No.269/2014 dated 25.06.2014.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.Despite more than three years have passed, still the respondent/Police has not filed the final report. The only excuse that has been projected by the respondent is that the case is relating to an alleged forgery of a document which is registered in the year 2009. It is further alleged that the document has already been sent for expert opinion to find out as to whether the document is forged or not. Since the matter has to be ultimately decided only by the Court, time given to the respondent so far is too much and therefore, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent/Police to file the final report in Crime No.269 of 2014 within a reasonable time.

4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the respondent/Police is directed to file a final report in Crime No.269 of 2014 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
