ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the second respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 14.04.2018 and to investigate the case in accordance with law.

2. Heard Mr.J.David Ganesan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Suyambulinga Bharathi, learned Government Advocate (Crl. side), who takes notice for the respondents.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), on instructions, would submit that the petitioner, on 30.04.2018, appeared and requested the respondents not to proceed further with his complaint and he has also made an endorsement to that effect. In view of the endorsement made by the petitioner, the said complaint itself was closed.

4. At this juncture, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that no closure report, so far, was served on the petitioner.

In view of the said submission made by both the parties, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed, with a direction to the second respondent to serve the closure report on the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the petitioner is not satisfied with the closure report to be served on him by the respondent police, then he is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
