Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the petitioner's objection dated 18.03.2023 and pass orders on the basis of the same before deciding the 'Arrangavalar' for Selva Vinayagar Temple situated at Polampatti, Thenur, Marungapuri (Taluk), Trichy District.

ORDER

The relief claimed in the writ petition is for a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the objection filed by the petitioner dated 18.03.2023, in and by which, he has raised certain allegations against the fifth respondent.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader has produced a communication dated 27.03.2023 from the Assistant Commissioner, Hindu Religious and

Charitable Endowment Department, Trichy District, wherein, it is stated that pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner herein, an enquiry has been initiated against the fifth respondent and he has been asked to appear for the enquiry.

3. Considering the fact that the third respondent has responded to the representation of the petitioner, no further consideration is required in this matter. The writ petition is closed. It is needless to say that the Authorities shall properly check the credentials of the applications before appointing 'arrangavalar'. No costs.
