O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed for quashing the proceedings of the First Information Report in Crime No.104 of 2017, dated 17.05.2017 on the file of the first respondent police.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. The only contention of the petitioner is that a false complaint has been registered against the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. The allegations found in the First Information Report disclose a cognizable offence under Section 341, 294(b), 324 and 506(ii) of I.P.C. In such circumstances, the contention of the petitioner that there is a motive for filing the false complaint cannot be a reason to quash the First Information Report. The statement of facts given by the petitioner is a matter for evidence and hence, this petition is dismissed.

5. It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a direction may be given to the respondent police to complete the investigation and to file final report. Hence, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation and to file final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed.
