PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to issue a direction,directing the Additional District Judge for EC and NDPS Act Cases,Pudukkottai to complete the trial in CC.No.37 of 2022 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the learned Additional District Judge for EC and NDPS Act Cases,Pudukkottai to complete the trial in CC.No.37 of 2022 within a stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case is pending trial without any progress.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the some of the witnesses have been examined in this case.

4. Under such circumstances , there shall be a direction to the learned learned Additional District Judge for EC and NDPS Act Cases,Pudukkottai to dispose the case pending in CC No. 37 of 2022 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and report compliance to this court after completion of the proceedings. Further the petitioner shall appear before the trial Court on hall hearing dates without fail and co-operate for trial.
