O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation in Crime No.103 of 2015, dated 23.04.2015 and to file final report with appropriate Sections, with a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has no locus standi to this Court seeking a direction to complete the investigation, as he is only an accused. His contention is not supported either by precedents or by provisions in Cr.P.C.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the petitioner had illegally transported PDS Rice. If it is so, there is no impediment for expediting the investigation in Crime No.103 of 2015 and this Court is of the view that a direction can be issued to the respondents in this case. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

As a result, this Criminal Original petition is allowed and the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.103 of 2015 and to file final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
