Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 29.10.2020 submitted in regard of issuance of Hindu Kattunayakkan Scheduled Tribe Community Certificates to the Petitioners sons M.R.Sabarish and M.R.Veerash within a time limit. (Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.) Heard Mr.P.Kalaiyarasi Bharathi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.K.Manickam, learned Standing Counsel for Government appearing for the respondent/contemnor.

2. This contempt petition has been filed alleging that there is a wilful disobedience of the order and direction passed in W.P.(MD) No.282 of 2021. By the said order, the State Level Scrutiny Committee was directed to dispose of the appeal petition filed by the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont.P(MD)No.765 of 2021 Complaining that this time bound direction has not been complied with, this contempt petition has been filed.

3.The learned Standing counsel for Government, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, submitted that within six weeks the appeal will be disposed of. 4.The said submission made on behalf of the respondent is placed on record and the contempt petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal petition in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
