Apart from the circumstances envisaged under Section 22(a) of the Registration Act and Rule 162 of the Registration Rules, the Registering Authority may not be justified in refusing to register the document in question or raising any query outside the scope of the Registration Act.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that though he had a valid stamped instrument, the same has been kept pending vide document No.TP/15225148/2018.
3. In the light of the above observation, there shall be a direction to the respondent to register the petitioner's sale deed pending vide document No.TP/15225148/2018, if it is otherwise in order, and return the same to him. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
