PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to grant individual patta in the name of Petitioner in respect of agricultural land comprised in S.No.246/1B, 247/2 ad-measuring an extent of 3 acre 04 cents bearing joint patta Nos.2215 and 2542 in Vellapatty Village, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District based on the Petitioner's online application, dated 20.1.2023 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the third respondent to grant individual patta in respect of agricultural land comprised in S.No.246/1B, 247/2 ad-measuring an extent of 3 acre 04 cents bearing joint patta Nos.2215 and 2542 in Vellapatty Village, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District by considering the Petitioner's online application, dated 20.1.2023 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.According to the Petitioner, the subject property was 2/6

purchased by him under registered sale deed, dated 3.11.2022 from one Thangavel and others. Patta for the subject property jointly stands in the name of Thangavel and 11 others. Therefore the Petitioner submitted an application on 20.1.2023 seeking issuance of separate patta in respect of the property purchased by him. The same has not been considered till date. Hence the Petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

4.Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate who appears for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that based on the application submitted by the Petitioner, the third respondent already initiated enquiry and the same is pending. 5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the Petitioner, dated 20.01.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits after issuing notice to the Petitioner and other pattadhars mentioned in Patta No.2215 within a period of 12 weeks from the date of a copy of this order. 6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
