ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by J.NISHA BANU, J.] The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to control the wild boar activity and protect the agriculture land areas at Manapadaivedu, Keezhanatham, Tirunelveli District based on his representation dated 06.01.2024. 2.The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 2 and 4 would submit that the Government has issued G.O.(D)No.07, Environment, Climate Change and Forest Department, dated 09.01.2025 permitting regulated culling of wild boars that cause distress to farmers in farmland close to forest areas. Therefore, based on the said Government Order, necessary action would be taken by the authorities concerned within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Pleader, the authorities shall take action in light of G.O.(D)No.07, Environment, Climate Change and Forest Department, dated 09.01.2025 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
