This criminal original petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to quash the case in Crime No.403/2016 on the file of the 1st respondent Police Station in so far as the petitioner/Accused no.3 is concerned, by accepting the Joint compromise memo dated 24.01.2017.

2. It is seen that the alleged offences attributed against the petitioner are under Sections 294(b), 341, 324 of the Indian Penal Code. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the petitioner and the second respondent appeared in person and their identification is also verified by this Court and the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent filed a memo of compromise stating that since the matter has been compromised, the second respondent agreed to quash the above said case in Cr.No.403 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Considering the nature of allegation and also considering the memo of compromise filed by the petitioner and the second respondent, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by allowing the Cr.No. 403 of 2016 to proceed with. Therefore, the entire proceedings in F.I.R.No.403 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police in respect of the petitioner alone is, hereby, quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed accordingly.
