Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 1st respondent from issuing property tax receipts in the name of the 2nd respondent in respect of the petitioner's properties situated in Survey Nos.324/2383 & 324/2387, Door Nos.36 & 36A, Salai Street, Keelakarai, Ramanathapuram District.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus to forbear the first respondent from issuing property tax receipts in the name of the second respondent, in respect of the petitioner's properties situated in Survey Nos.324/2383 & 324/2387, Door Nos.36 & 36A, Salai Street, Keelakarai, 2.The first respondent vide proceedings dated 13.01.2024 issued property tax receipt in the name of the second respondent and thus, the prayer sought for in the writ petition no longer survive.

3.It was submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the proceeding dated 13.01.2024 has been passed without considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2024. 4.Be that as it may, in view of the fact that the order has been passed vide proceeding dated 13.01.2024, the prayer sought for in the writ petition no longer survive. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed. It is however open to the petitioner if he is aggrieved by the proceedings dated 13.01.2024 to seek redressal of his grievance by working out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
