This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police/Inspector of Police, Samayanallur Police Station, Madurai District, to expedite the investigation in Crime No.321 of 2016 and to file Final Report within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) on instructions submitted that the investigation will be completed and the final report will be filed within six months.

4. Recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), this Court direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.321 of 2016 and to file final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
