O R D E R

The present writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to post the petitioner as Assistant Executive Engineer in any suitable place by retaining her seniority in the post of Assistant Executive Engineer, above her juniors in their entry into service as Assistant Engineer.

2. In compliance of the direction of this Court dated 25.04.2025, Mr.D.Sachikumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that in compliance of the Supreme Court order dated 18.04.2023 in Contempt Petition (Civil) Diary No(s).6415 of 2021, the petitioner has been demoted to the post of Assistant Engineer vide proceedings dated 25.04.2025 and she is posted as Assistant Engineer at Pudukkottai District and as such, posting her as Assistant Executive Engineer in any place, does not arise. The learned Additional Government Pleader has placed a copy of the proceedings dated 25.04.2025 before this Court. It is placed on record.

In view of the proceedings issued by the second respondent reverting the petitioner to the post of Assistant Engineer and posting at Pudukkottai District as Assistant Engineer, in my considered view, nothing survives for further adjudication in the present writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition 2/4

is dismissed as infructuous. However, considering the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, liberty is granted to challenge the proceedings dated 25.04.2025 of the second respondent, wherein the petitioner is reverted to the post of Assistant Engineer. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
