ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner.

2.According to the petitioner, he is a pensioner and he is also a subscriber to the Tamil Nadu Government Pensioner's Health Insurance Scheme. During the month of June 2016, due to severe pain in the right side stomach, the petitioner had taken treatment in the KDR hospital, Thanjavur, wherein, he was subjected to scopy operation and a sum of Rs.49,200/- was spent for medical treatment by him. Requesting for reimbursement of the medical expenses by quoting the judgment passed by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.1408 of 2016 and G.O.Ms.No.171 dated 26.06.2014, the petitioner sent a representation on 29.08.2018 to the respondents. Since no orders have been passed by the respondent concerned, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the fifth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.08.2018, on merit and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
