This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct the cultural function viz., Sri Valli Thirumana Nadagam during the temple festival of "Arulmighu Sri Sonaiyakkaruppar and Sri Vithinikaliamman Kovil", Kalapangudi village, Kannangudi Post, Devakkottai Taluk, Sivagangai District on 23.06.2018 from 09.00 p.m to 06.00 a.m and further direct the respondent to give adequate police protection for the above said programme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2018. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and

the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the rival parties have appeared before the respondent police and given statement that they will not conduct cultural programme during the temple festival. He has also produced copies of the statements given by both parties. 4.Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is dismissed.
