This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file the charge sheet in Crime No.354 of 2020 on the file of the respondent herein within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) for the respondent police. 3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the son in law of the petitioner died suspiciously on 22.11.2018 and a criminal case is pending against the daughter of the petitioner and another. While so, the sister of the petitioner's son-in-law along with her husband and henchmen trespassed into the house of the petitioner and attacked her with deadly weapons. Hence, the petitioner had given a complaint against them in Crime No.354 of 2020. But, no action has been taken by the respondent police in the said case till date. Taking advantage of the inaction on the part of the respondent police, the accused are continuously threatening the petitioner to withdraw the complaint. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6112 of 2021 4.According to the learned Government Advocate (crl.side), the investigation is completed and the final report is made ready and the same is yet to be filed before the concerned court. Hence, he seeks one month time to complete the process. 5.Considering his request, there shall be a direction to the respondent to file the final report in Crime No.354 of 2020 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, before the concerned Court.
6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
