Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 5th respondent to carry out the necessary changes in the revenue records on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 01.04.2021 with regard to government assignment of land issued in favour of the petitioner bearing Survey No.526/3 admeasuring an extent of 0.0087 Ares situated in Achangulam Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Vallarendal, Palaiyanur, Sivagangai District based on the proceedings of the 4th respondent in tP.k.x.vz;.252/1415 dated 15.11.2005 within the reasonable time to be fixed by this Court. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 5th respondent to carry out the necessary changes in the revenue records pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner on 01.04.2021.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property was assigned in his favour by virtue of the proceedings dated 15.11.2005. The petitioner wanted the said assignment to be reflected in the revenue records. Hence, he made a representation before the respondents on 01.04.2021. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking appropriate directions.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 5th respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 01.04.2021 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision within eight weeks the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the fifth respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

6. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
