Criminal Revision Cases are filed under section 397 r/w 401 Criminal Procedure Code to call for records pertaining to the order dated 24.08.2016 made in Crl.M.P.Nos.199 and 200 of 2015 in C.C.No.80 OF 2014 on the file of the Special Court for Traial of Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Sivagangai and set aside the same to discharge the petitioners / accused No.1 and 2 from the charges levelled against them in the charge sheet. ORDER: These Petitions coming on for hearing on this day, upon perusing the earlier order of this Court and the requisition letter submitted by the Special Judge, Special Court for Trial of Cases under Prevention of Corruption Act, Sivagangai vide the letter in D.No.82 / 2020 dated 03.06.2020 and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.J.Lawrence, Advocate for the Petitioner in both cases and of Mr.K.K.

Ramakrishnan, Special Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondents in both cases, this court made the following order: By order dated 20.07.2017, this Court directed the Court below to dispose of C.C.No.80 of 2014 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

2. The Court below has submitted a letter, in D.No.82/2020 dated 03.06.2020, whereby and whereunder, stating some reasons, it requested further three months' time to dispose of C.C.No.80 of 2014.

3. Considering the reasons stated by the Court below, three months' time is extended from today to comply with the order dated 20.07.2017.
