The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to take appropriate action on the representation of the petitioner dated 25.06.2020, by preventing the creation of new water connections in the Thamirabarani Kootukudineer Project main water pipeline at Nochikulam 2/5

Village to North Alankulam line, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District, and to take appropriate action against any illegal connections that may have been made.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent/TWAD Board submitted that the inter se dispute between the villagers regarding water sharing has been settled by conducting a Peace Committee Meeting. Thus, no further adjudication is required in this Writ Petition. 3Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
