Respondent Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to carry out the necessary changes in the revenue records on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 01.04.2021, with regard to Government assignment of land issued in favour of the petitioner bearing Survey No.538/2 admeasuring an extent of 0.01.20 Ares situated in Achangulam Village, Thiruppuvam Taluk, Vallarendal, Palaiyanur, Sivagangai District, based on the proceedings of the 4th respondent in tP/k/x/vz;/52/1416, dated 18.01.2007, within the reasonable time to be fixed by this court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to carry out the necessary changes in the revenue records, based on the representation made by 1/3

the petitioner on 01.04.2021.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property in S.No.538/2 was assigned in his favour through the proceedings, dated 18.01.2007, by the 4th respondent.

The petitioner made representations to the respondents and particularly, to the 5th respondent, seeking for carrying out the necessary changes in the revenue records reflecting the name of the petitioner. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court, seeking for appropriate directions. 3.Heard Mr.K.A.S.Prabhu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.Rajeswari, learned Government Advocate, for the respondents. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 5th respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner, on 01.04.2021 and deal with the same on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision with regard to the change in the revenue records sought for by the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 5th respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
