This Criminal Original Petitioner has been filed seeking a direction, to direct the respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 20.06.2010.
2. Today when the petition is came up for hearing, Mr.S.Chandrasekar, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, would submit that upon receipt of the complaint given by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent police herein initiated an enquiry in CSR No.178/2020 and thereafter, the same was closed. The said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded.
3. Now, on considering the facts and circumstances, it is apparent that in the absence of any petition pending on the file of the 1st and 2nd respondents, we cannot pass any order, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents, to provide police protection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

4. However, the counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that during the time of enquiry, the petitioner herein not summoned by the police officer and enquired about the averments made in the representation, dated 20.06.2020. Further, he prayed to furnish a copy of the closure report, for the purpose of taking appropriate action.
5. Now on considering the said submission, it would appropriate to issue a direction to the 2nd respondent to furnish the copy of the enquiry report to the petitioner within the period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
