Side) O R D E R This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Rajapalayam to expedite the trial and dispose the case in C.C.No.349 of 2014 on its file within a stipulated period of time to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner, who is the second accused facing charges under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.120 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, before the trial Court in C.C.No.349 of 2014.

3.The grievance of the petitioner is even though the crime is of the year 2014 and final report was also filed in the year 2014 and taken cognizance by the trial Court on the date itself, for the past 9 years, the matter is kept pending, without any progress. Not even trial has been commenced.

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Rajapalayam, to expedite the trial process in C.C.No.349 of 2014, pending on his file, and dispose of the same within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
