O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give permission and protection to conduct the program (Adal Padal) on 24.06.2018, in the eve of Sri Vinayakar, Murugan and Sri Muthu Mariamman Temples Festival, Mayanoor, Karur District, by considering the representation, dated 07.06.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation, dated 07.06.2018 to the respondents to give permission and protection to conduct the program (Adal Padal) on 24.06.2018, in the eve of Sri Vinayakar, Murugan and Sri Muthu Mariamman Temples Festival, Mayanoor, Karur District.

4.On perusal of the said representation, it is seen that the petitioner has made the said representation in his individual capacity. In similar circumstances, this Court in W.P(MD)No.7911 of 2018, dated 12.04.2018, directed that the members of Vizha Committee https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

or Office-bearers or the trustees of the temple or the organisers of the festival alone shall approach the authorities concerned seeking permission for conducting cultural programme and police protection. Therefore, the present Writ Petition filed by the petitioner in his individual capacity cannot be entertained.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. It is open to the members of Vizha Committee or Office-bearers or the trustees of the concerned temple or the organisers of the festival to make an application before the authorities concerned seeking permission for conducting the cultural programme and police protection, if so advised.
