PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India, to pass an order directing the Family Court, Madurai, to expedite the disposal of the divorce petition filed by the petitioner in H.M.O.P.No.364 of 2023, within a period as fixed by this Court. ORDER

The petitioner in H.M.O.P.No.364 of 2023, on the file of the Family Court, Madurai, has filed the present revision petitioner seeking expeditious disposal of her divorce petition.

2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the revision petitioner, the respondent wife has filed Counter in the main case on 12.03.2025, and it has been adjourned to 12.06.2025. The petitioner wants expeditious disposal of the above said divorce petition.

3.The Court can take judicial notice of the fact that 4000 cases are pending before the Family Court, Madurai. The Court is now taking up only the cases arising from the year 2020. In case, is there is any urgency for the revision petitioner, she is at liberty to approach the Family Court, Madurai, by filing an advance hearing application. In case, if any such application is filed, the same shall be decided on merits and in accordance with law. 4.With the above said observations, this Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
