[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] The present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the maternal uncle of the detenu, seeking a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of the detenu - M.Karpagam, daughter of Manickavasagar, aged about 18 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.
2. The detenu - M.Karpagam, daughter of Manickavasagar, aged about 18 years, has been produced by the second respondent police. The detenu informs that since her family members made arrangements https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
for her marriage against her wishes, she had gone in search of the third respondent, with whom she was in love, to Kerala and on finding him, they had agreed upon a marriage and had exchanged garlands. The detenu further informs that she desires to be in the company of the third respondent and not return to the parental home. The petitioner has been informed of such position.
