Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents No.1 to 2, to pay wages to sweepers those who were working under the Socio-Economic Reform Organization from 11.05.2016 to 11.05.2017 for cleaning works in the 2nd respondent municipality as per the order of 1st respondent letter No. K.Dis/A3/619/2016 dated 09.05.2016 in which the sweeper wages had been fixed for Rs.349 for each day, through that, the remaining amount nearly a sum of Rs.16,38,000/- (Sixteen Lakhs Thirty Eight Thousand only) has to pay the petitioner's association by considering the petitioner's representation 1/4
dated on 16.03.2024, in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay wages to sweepers, who were working under the Socio-Economic Reform Organization from 11.05.2016 to 11.05.2017 in the second respondent Municipality as per the order of the first respondent in letter No. K.Dis/A3/619/2016, dated 09.05.2016, wherein, the sweeper wages had been fixed as Rs.349/- per day and through that, the remaining amount of Rs. 16,38,000/- has to be paid to the petitioner's association by considering the representation dated on 16.03.2024.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a representation on 16.03.2024 for payment of wages to the petitioner organization as per the revised rate of daily wages. However, the same is yet to be considered. Hence, the Writ Petition. 2/4
3. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be disposed within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.03.2024 and dispose of the same, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
