This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the to the respondents to monitor and ensure the implementation of adequate measures during the demolition of the building scheduled on 27.03.2025 at D.No. 69A, 69B - Mela Ponnagaram, 6th Street, Madurai - 625 016, in accordance with the law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4, submitted that the petitioner has decided to demolish his own building. The Corporation officials will be present at the time of the demolition, however, it is the responsibility of the petitioner to take all necessary precautionary safety measures during the demolition process. The Corporation will ensure that the demolition is done in accordance with the law, however the petitioner will hold the responsibility of keeping the premises and nearby area safe and secure. The aforesaid submission has not been refuted by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. Recording the above submission, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
