O R D E R
The petitioner challenges the rejection of his application for transfer of electricity service connection bearing No. 06-056-006-173 to his name.
2. Originally, the said electricity service connection stood in the name of one S. Natarajan, the vendor of the petitioner. Thereafter, the 2/5
petitioner submitted an application seeking transfer of the said service connection to his name. However, the application was rejected without assigning any reasons.
3. Mr. S. Deenadhayalan, learned counsel for the respondents, submitted that the petitioner's application would be reconsidered afresh in accordance with law. The said submission is placed on record.
4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. The impugned order of rejection dated 13.02.2026 issued by the third respondent is hereby quashed, and the matter is remanded to the third respondent for fresh consideration. The third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application afresh, on its own merits and in accordance with law, by taking into account the sale deed, relevant revenue records, and the earlier transfer of service connection in favour of the petitioner's vendor.
5. The third respondent shall complete the aforesaid exercise within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of 3/5
this order.
6. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
