PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.3 to close all the Liquor Retail Sales Shop of the seventh respondent throughout Tamil Nadu and consequently direct the first respondent to ban to open all the Liquor Retain Sales till COVID-19 situation is normalize.

2.Admittedly, the relief sought for in the Writ Petition cannot be granted by a Writ Court, as it is a policy decision to be taken by the Government. In any event, the Government has already issued orders. Therefore, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
