The petitioner has filed this criminal original petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking for a direction to the respondent - Police to register a case, based on his complaint, dated 13.02.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that based on the complaint, dated 13.02.2017, lodged by the petitioner, an enquiry was conducted by the respondent - Police and during the course of enquiry, the petitioner submitted that he would pursue his remedy in Crl.M.P.No.1967 of 2017 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivagangai and therefore, the petitioner's complaint has been closed.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this criminal original petition is

dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedy before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivagangai, in the pending Crl.M.P.No.1967 of 2017.
