O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to release the payments for the petitioner's professional fees as per representations dated 03.07.2019 and 06.10.2020 sent to the 2nd respondent.

2.The petitioner is a practicing Advocate at Namakkal and the Government of India appointed the petitioner as Additional Central Government Standing Counsel in Namakkal District and the respondents have not paid the fees that is applicable to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted representations, dated 03.07.2019 and 06.10.2020. 2/5

3.This Court has granted an interim direction wherein the the learned Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that a sum of Rs.5.92 Lakhs will be released to the petitioner by 26.07.2021 and this pertains to the period 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. The learned Counsel further submitted that the further claim made by the petitioner will be considered year wise and whatever amount is due and payable will be paid to the petitioner. The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the amount will be received by the petitioner without prejudice to his rights. 4.Therefore, this Court is confirming the said order. The respondents are directed to pay the amount within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the respondents did not pay the amount within four months, the petitioner is at liberty to reopen this writ petition and submit his grievance.

5.With the above said observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
