ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated at Old Survey No.356/4, New Survey No.141/4 in Kopu Therku Village, Posampatti Panchayat, Anthananallur Panchayat Union, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District, based on the petitioner's application dated 29.03.2022, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner has filed documents along with this writ petition to substantiate his case that he is entitled for electricity service connection for the aforementioned property. 3.However, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that one third party is opposing the grant of electricity service connection in favour of the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.[MD]No.7755 of 2022 4.Heard Mr.S.M.Mohand Gandhi, learned Counsel for the writ petitioner and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5.No prejudice would be caused to any of the parties, if the aforesaid third party who is opposing the grant of electricity service connection in favour of the petitioner is also heard before a decision is taken by the second respondent as to whether electricity service connection can be granted to the petitioner or not.

6.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 29.03.2022 seeking for electricity service connection to the petitioner's house situated at Old Survey No.356/4, New Survey No.141/4 in Kopu Therku Village, Posampatti Panchayat, Anthananallur Panchayat Union, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner and any other necessary party, whom the second respondent deems fit to enquire, including granting them the right of personal hearing, within a period of two [2] months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
