Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent i.e. the secretary to Government Housing and urban Development Department Secretariat Chennai to pass appropriate orders on the proposals sent by the 2nd respondent i.e. the Commissioner of Town and Country Planning Chennai in his ROC No.29546/2005/K2 dated 13.6.2014. ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate who takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.
2.The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the proposal sent by the second respondent dated 13.06.2014.
3.The petitioner is working as Jeep driver in the office of the Town and Country Planning, Sivagangai. He seeks permanent absorption in the said post. It is seen that the second respondent through proceedings dated 13.06.2014 addressed the first respondent requesting to issue orders on the regularisation of the petitioner's temporary service in the post of driver with effect from the date of his joining i.e, on 02.11.2001. The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent has not passed any order on the proposal sent by the second respondent so far.
4.Considering the above said facts and circumstances, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the proposal sent by the second respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
