PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to call for the entire records pertaining to the case in Crime No.409 of 2020, on the file of the Inspector of Police, PEW, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District and quash the same against the petitioner.

For R1 : Mr.R.M.Anbunithi Additional Public Prosecutor.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash Crime No.409 of 2020, on the file of the Inspector of Police, PEW, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District, against the petitioner.

2. By order dated, 29.04.2021, a direction was issued to the petitioner to produce the documents, which are available with him for consideration by the Investigating Officer. But, now it has been stated that due to lock down, he is not able to produce the documents before the Investigating Officer. The petitioner's counsel submits that by order dated 29.04.2021, a direction was issued to the respondent police not to file final report against the petitioner.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor(Crl.side), on instructions, would submit that Final Report was filed on 14.01.2021 itself.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No. 6107 of 2021 & 4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) for the first respondent.

5.It appears that even before the order dated, 29.04.2021, the Final Report has been presented before the concerned Court. In view of the above, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Liberty is reserved to the petitioner, if so desired to challenge the Final Report in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
