Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Notice to the third respondent is dispensed with in view of nature of the order to be passed by this Court.
2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the proceedings covered in the notice sent by the second respondent, vide No.A10/4516/2016, dated 05.08.2016, with regard to change of Patta, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
have been kept pending indefinitely without any further progress.
4. In view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to pass orders in the proceedings covered in the notice No.A10/4516/2016, dated 05.08.2016, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Such an exercise shall be done after giving due opportunity to the petitioner as well as to the persons who may be interested in the subject matter.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
