Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the statutory appeal preferred by the petitioner against the order of the 2nd respondent in Se.Mu.Order No.N2/30688/2014 dated 03.01.2018 within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The second respondent passed an order in Se.Mu.Order No.N2/30688/2014 dated 03.01.2018 by holding that the charges against the petitioner were proved and ordered for recover of a sum of Rs.7,78,346/- being the 50% of alleged loss to Government from his retiral benefits and pension. Aggrieved over the same the petitioner filed a statutory appeal. Seeking its earlier disposal, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's appeal will be disposed of by the first respondent within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

W.P.(MD) No.9012 of 2021 3.Considering the submissions submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
