PRAYER: Criminal Original petitions have been filed under Section 528 of BNSS to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection from the Respondent No.4 to 8 and their men for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members by considering the representation dated 18.03.2025.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection from the Respondent No.4 to 8 and their men for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members by considering the representation dated 18.03.2025.

2.According to the petitioner, he received life threat from the respondents 4 to 8 and thereby, the petitioner sent the representation 2/6

dated 18.03.2025 to the respondents 1 to 3 seeking police protection, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner is having so many previous cases and he is a history sheet holder. There is no life threat to the petitioner as alleged by him. However, the petitioner's representation is under consideration by the third respondent and the same will be considered and appropriate order will be passed within a week.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private respondents, is inclined to pass order.

5.According to the petitioner, he sent the representation to the respondents 1 to 3 seeking police protection, but the same has not been considered. According to the respondents 1 to 3, the petitioner's representation is under consideration.

6.Since the petitioner wants to participate in the function, which is scheduled to be held on 31.03.2025 and now, the petitioner's representation is pending with the third respondent, it is for the third respondent to conduct enquiry and dispose of the same, in accordance with law.

7.In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same within a period of two days from the date of this order in accordance with law. 8.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
