O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.1314 of 2020 dated 28.12.2020 and file the final report within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondent police.

3. The case of the petitioner is that due to civil dispute between the petitioner and the accused, the accused persons forcibly entered into the h touse ofhe petitioner and threatened her and her husband with dire consequences. Thereafter, the petitioner's husband committed suicide. Hence, a case has been registered by 1/3

the second respondent police. However, till date the respondent police did not take any effective action to unearth the real truth. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though the case has been registered under Section 174 of Cr.P.C., he entertained suspicious about the involvement of some persons in the incident and she has also given a statement before the investigating officer. But the final reports is not sofar altered. 5.The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) would submit that the investigation is in the process of conclusion and the viscera report is yet to be received from the Forensic Lab and he seeks two months time to conclude the investigation and file a final report. 6.Considering his request, there shall be a direction to the second respondent police to conclude the investigation and file a final report before the concerned Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner may wait till the conclusion of investigation and thereafter, if she is aggrieved, she can take further steps. 7.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
