PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to issue a direction directing the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband namely PARAMASIVAM based on the representation dated 19.04.2021. O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband namely PARAMASIVAM based on the representation dated 19.04.2021. 2.The case of the petitioner is that she married one Paramasivam on her own volition on 19.04.2021. It is an inter caste marriage, which was not liked by her father namely third respondent herein. Hence, she sent a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 on 19.04.2021 seeking police protection. Since there was no action taken by the respondent police, the petitioner approached this Court with the aforesaid relief.

3.The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) for the respondent police would submit that on 18.04.2021, the third respondent herein himself appeared before the second respondent and lodged a complaint on the ground that his daughter went missing and a case in Crime No.62 of 2021 was registered on the file of the second respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

During the course of investigation, the third respondent herein gave a statement that after knowing about the marriage of the petitioner, he decided not to make any trouble. So on that basis, further action is going to be dropped. Hence, nothing survives for further direction or adjudication.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
