ORDER

The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 11.04.2018 as expeditiously as possible within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.C.Jegannathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Karthikeyan, learned counsel for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a very limited prayer, as he was terminated from service on 02.04.2018, as against which, on 11.04.2018, he filed an appeal before the respondent, who is the appellate authority. Therefore, if the said appeal in one way or other is decided in earliest point of time, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.Mr.V.Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the respondent, would submit that the said appeal filed by the petitioner on 11.04.2018 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law and decided within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

4.In view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition and after hearing both sides, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:- "that the respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on the appeal, dated 11.04.2018 filed by the petitioner against the order of the dismissal. Such an order shall be passed by the respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order". 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
