Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide the compensation to the petitioner for the damages caused by the Gaja Cyclone to the petitioner's house and household properties based on the petitioner's representation dated 31.12.2018 within the time fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to provide compensation to the petitioner for the alleged damages suffered by her on account of the Gaja Cyclone, based on her representation, dated 31.12.2018, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.S.Sivaprakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.Amjad Khan, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

3.The petitioner claims that she has suffered damages to her properties on account of Gaja Cyclone in the year 2018. The petitioner has given representation on 31.12.2018, for the said purpose. As seen from the documents filed along with the writ petition, the first respondent has already initiated proceedings, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.7789 of 2022 but no final orders have been passed.

4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 31.12.2018, seeking for compensation for the alleged damages suffered by her on account of the Gaja Cyclone, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
