O R D E R

This Writ petition is filed for issuing a direction to the the respondents to grant permission and protection to entire celebration of Ashta Pandhana Maha Kumbabishekam to the Arulmigu Sri Sitthi Vinayagar Kovil situated at Veppangudi, Thiruvarangulam Post, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District on 25.06.2018 at 5.00 am to 9.00 am and also to conduct the Music Orchestra at 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm in petitioner's village Veppangudi, Thiruvarangulam Post, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District in connection with the above said Ashta Pandhana Maha Kumbabishekam on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 13.06.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has given a representation to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondents on 13.06.2018 for the celebration of the Ashta Pandhana Maha Kumbabishekam to the above said temple and also to conduct "Music Orchestra" programme. However, the same was not considered by the respondents so far and hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this writ petition. He would further submit that the programme will be conducted in a peaceful manner and there is no rival claim among the villagers.

4. Though the representation given by the petitioner before the respondents, it is stated that so far they have not considered the representation. It is in the said context, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, is inclined to pass the following directions:

(a) The petitioner shall submit a copy of the representation along with this order to the 2nd respondent. (b) The 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 13.06.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 23.06.2018.

(c) In case the second respondent decide to permit the petitioner to conduct the event as it was scheduled by the petitioner, the same will be subject to the usual conditions or any other reasonable conditions, so as to ensure the law and order and communal harmony.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
