O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse Rs.1,47,584/- spent by the petitioner for the treatment underwent by him within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.S.C.Herold Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. In order to get the medical reimbursement to an extent of Rs.1,47,584/-, the petitioner has already made a request to the 1/3

respondents and last such request and representation was made on 13.06.2020 and the same since has not been considered by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, who would submit that, the petitioner would be satisfied if the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2020 is considered and suitable action thereon, to be taken and final orders for reimbursement of the amount entitled for the petitioner would be passed by the respondents.

5. I have heard Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate, who would submit that, the representation of the petitioner dated, 13.06.2020 was received on 22.06.2020. Thereafter, on considering the same, the Joint Director, District Level Empowered Committee has been addressed on 30.06.2020 to look into the matter, vide Na.Ka.No.21977, after which it will be placed before the District Level Empowered Committee during the next meeting and in the said meeting, decision will be taken regarding the entitlement and the amount to be reimbursed for the petitioner and accordingly, final orders would be passed in this regard by the respondents.

In view of the said developments having been taken place, as the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2020 is being considered and the papers are moving and final orders would be passed by the District Level Empowered Committee shortly, after the next meeting, where it is to be considered, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with the following direction: "that the respondents shall consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2020, as has been forwarded on 30.06.2020 in Na.Ka.No.21977 to the District Level Empowered Committee, who shall immediately consider in the next meeting and pass final orders as to the entitlement of the petitioner as well as the quantum of the medical reimbursement claimed by the petitioner and final orders shall be passed thereon within a period of four weeks thereafter."
