Prayer : Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to settle the terminal benefits with all monetary and other attendant benefits (Provident Fund, Special Provident Fund, Earned Leave Salary ) with interest at the rate of 18 percentage for belated settlement of terminal benefits within a time frame fixed by this Honble Court and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice. ORDER

The present Writ Petition is filed seeking direction to the 3rd respondent to settle the terminal benefits with all monetary and other attendant benefits (Provident Fund, Special Provident Fund, Earned Leave Salary ) with interest at the rate of 18 percentage for belated settlement of terminal benefits.

When the matter was taken up for hearing on 12.11.2025, it was reported that the principal amounts towards Provident Fund, Special Provident Fund, and Earned Leave Salary had been paid to the petitioner, and that the only amount remaining to be paid was the statutory interest as per Section 45A of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules.

3. In view of the same, the respondents are directed to disburse the interest on the amount in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, and such interest shall be paid within a period of twelve weeks from today.

4. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
