Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to conduct survey and demarcation of the petitioners' land comprised in Patta No.596 covered under S.F.No.308/C and 308/D situated at Lakshmi Narayana Chamuthiram, Karur Taluk, Karur District.

4. The case of the petitioners is that they are the owner of the property comprised in S.F.Nos.308/C and 308/D to an extent of 0.38 acres situated at Lakshmi Narayana Chamuthiram, Karur Taluk. The first respondent acquired .08.00 ares in S.F.No.308/B, C under the Tamil Nadu Acquisition and Industrial Purpose Act, 1997 vide proceedings Letter No.1674/2020 dated 21.12.2020. Hence, the petitioner made an application dated 24.08.2020 to the second respondent to demarcate the acquired lands. Thereafter, they sent a representation dated 01.03.2021 to conduct proper survey and to pay compensation for the excess land. Since, the said representation was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioners would state that it would be suffice if a direction is given to the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioners.

6. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would state that the representation of the petitioners would be considered within a reasonable time.

7. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners as well as the respondents and in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioners, dated 01.03.2021, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
