PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, 2023, to direct the 4th respondent and his officials not to harass the petitioner and his family members unnecessarily against law under the guise of enquiry on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2026. For Petitioner : M/s.G.Kandhavadivelan For Respondents : Mr.A.Albert James Government Advocate(crl.side) for R1 to R4

ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction as against the respondents 1 to 4 herein not to harass the petitioner based upon the complaint lodged by the 5th respondent.

2. A perusal of the records reveal that earlier the 5th respondent has lodged a complaint before the third respondent and some kind of compromise has been reached between the parties. Therefore, according to the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, once it was closed by the third respondent, the fourth respondent cannot initiate further action.

3. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, submitted that the enquiry would be completed within a period of two weeks.

4. Considering the above said facts, the fourth respondent is directed to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
