PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the patta issued in favour of the father of the respondents 3 and 4 namely Chinnan for the property in S.F.No.390/9B measuring to an extent of 60 cents out of 1 Acre 73 cents, situated at Akkiyampatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District and change the aforesaid patta in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.04.2018. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the patta issued in favour of the respondents' 3 and 4 father for the property in S.F.No.390/9B measuring to an extent of 60 cents out of 1 Acre 73 cents situated at Akkiyampatti Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichy District and to change the aforesaid patta in favour of the petitioner.

2.According to the petitioner, he made a representation on 05.04.2018 before the respondents 1 and 2 seeking to cancel the patta issued in favour of the respondents' 3 and 4 father for the aforesaid property and to change the aforesaid patta in favour of the petitioner. But, on such representation no action has been taken. Hence, the present writ petition.

W.P.(MD)No.7674 of 2020 3.In reply, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 05.04.2018 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.In agreement with the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the respondents 3 and 4. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
