ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY,J.) The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to conduct proper and perfect enquiry and dispose of the appeal, dated 31.05.2018 with regard to the issuance of Hindu Kattunayakkan Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate to the petitioner's sons A.M.Simharaj and A.M.Rhemuraj within a time frame.

2.The petitioner has contended that she has filed an appeal before the first respondent as against the order passed by the second respondent, dated 25.05.2018 on 31.05.2018. However, the first respondent has not passed any order so far. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's son viz., A.M.Simharaj appeared for the NEET examination, seeking admission in Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry. Therefore, the learned counsel submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal within a short time. 4.Mr.R.Murugan, learned Additional Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal within three weeks time.

5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, we direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal, dated 31.05.2018 preferred by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, in any event within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
