This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order in Ka.No. UMePo/Pakir/Suruli/Va.Aa/Ko.Pukar/A. No.28/24 issued by the 3rd respondent, dated 01.03.2024 and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to restore the electricity connection to the petitioner's land. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. It is the contention of the petitioner is that he is noway connecting with the illegal tapping of electricity connection. However, due to illegal tapping done by some third parties, a case has been registered against them. Based on that report, the electricity connection given to the petitioner has been disconnected by the respondents.
4.The learned standing Counsel on instructions submitted that if the petitioner is ready to give an undertaking affidavit that he will maintain the 2/4
electricity connection and he will not allow the illegal tapping, then the respondents will restore the electricity connection to the petitioner. 5.In view of the above submission, the respondent is directed to give electricity connection to the petitioner, based on the undertaking affidavit given by the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of undertaking affidavit given by the petitioner. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 21.10.2024 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No PNM To
